Our Story
Founders Grace and Kim were born and raised in Kenya, where they witnessed the stark social disparities faced by for the developmentally disabled community in their home country. The lack of special education resources and government aid for these integral members of society compelled them to jump into action and drive change. After completing their education in Kenya, Grace and Kim immigrated to the United States and recognized how differently other societies provided resources for those with special needs. After spending the last 20 years working to create inclusive spaces for those with developmental and intellectual disabilities, Grace and Kim combined their experience in mental health, ABA therapy, business strategic planning, and information technology to bring the mission of Humanity Vision to life by advocating for individuals in need of specialized services.
What began as a local initiative has grown into a multi-state and international organization. Today, Humanity Vision not only serves communities across King County, Washington, but also reaches individuals and families in Massachusetts – including Bristol, Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Worcester Counties – and, as of late 2024, in Kenya, where the organization is officially registered as a Public Benefit Organization (PBO) by the NGO Coordination Board.
Humanity Vision's comprehensive offerings encompass behavioral and mental health services, counseling and therapy, rehabilitation services, social skills education, job coaching, workforce development/career exploration, and early childhood education and tutoring. Looking ahead, the founders aspire to
extend these services to their hometown in Kenya, aiming to provide the same essential support to the community that ignited their passion for positive change.
